Applying to HPI - What to Expect

Submitting your application itself is free. A one-time, non-refundable $100 Registration Fee applies once you're accepted into a program.

Most applicants hear from an admissions advisor within 2 business days of submitting their application.

Applicants to the Practical Nursing program must pass the ATI TEAS Pre-entrance exam with a score of 48% or the HESI Entrance Exam with a composite score of 70%. Scores must be from within the past 2 years.

Yes. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and residents of the state of Ohio, verified with two forms of government-issued ID.

Applicants complete both a BCI and FBI background check under Ohio Administrative Code 4723.09. Certain criminal convictions may affect eligibility for licensure.

HPI offers payment plans and can advise on Title IV federal aid, MyCAA for military spouses, and Ohio's Nurse Education Assistance Loan Program (NEALP). Your admissions advisor will walk you through eligibility.
